I make broth.

Not that much to say about this. I make broth.

Having a "broth bag" in the freezer is a great way to reduce food waste. Basically, every time you prep veggies, put the discards (of good broth material) in the bag. When it's full, make broth. Things to not put in your broth bag: broccoli, greens, brussel sprouts, squash, anything that smells like farts.

General Broth Recipe:

  • White Onion

  • Garlic

  • Carrots

  • Celery

  • Black Peppercorns

  • Salt

  • Bay Leaves

  1. Get some color on the veggies

  2. Put the rest in

  3. Add some water

  4. Simmer it

  5. You've got a broth

  6. (Bonus) Add a little Apple Cider Vinegar, put it in jars, and pasteurize it for some shelf stable goodness.
